Jussi Halla-aho was a popular candidate of True Finns in the general election in April, only shadowed by Timo Soini. Halla-aho was then given the chair of Finnish Parliament’s Administration Committee. The issues handled by the committee include immigration, policy, gun and municipality policies. The Finnish populist party True Finns that gained 34 seats in the parliament election in April 17 are a mixed bag. However, one tight group within the party are the members of nationalist association Finnish Sisu (Suomen Sisu). It seems the disappointment of the Finnish parliamentary election result for Green League has a flip side. In the aftermath of the general election on Sunday the membership of Green League (Vihreät) has grown rapidly. The same goes for Left Alliance (Vasemmistoliitto) but to a bit smaller degree.
